Your child
FAQs
It’s normal to be anxious about leaving your child in someone else’s care, and we will do everything we can to help ensure you and your child feel comfortable and confident joining us. Our setting in sessions give you and your child the opportunity to be apart for a few hours over the course of a few days before they officially start, so the transition to nursery life is not sudden. We have lots of experience settling children into nursery life, and our main shared goal is to ensure your child is happy, so please don’t worry – we’re on hand to help you and your child settle in just fine.
We advise that you pack a set of spare clothes, as even though our team will provide aprons for particularly messy play, we encourage the children to explore the activities and environments indoors and outdoors, so they may come home with some evidence of the fun they’ve had on their clothes!
We use Little Angels nappies and pull ups. If you would prefer your child to use an alternative brand, because for example they are sensitive or reactive to others, we will ask you to provide these. We provide nappy care creams including Sudocrem and Metanium, and sensitive wipes.
Mealtimes / Food
FAQs
We understand that food can be a tricky topic for some children, and each child’s eating habits are different. Your child will always be offered the meal on the menu, and gently encouraged to try the dish, however we will never force children to try what’s on their plate and will ensure they aren’t going hungry. We don’t allow packed lunches so as to ensure fairness for all of the children and so we can carefully manage the allergies and dietary requirements we have present amongst the children.
Yes, we provide formula milk up to a child’s 1st birthday after which you are welcome to provide it should your child not be consuming cow’s milk or alternative at this stage.
Of course! Just ask, and we’ll be pleased to share these with you.
